Class 1 HGV Drivers – Appleton (Days/Nights/Tramping)
Bluestones Supply Chain are currently recruiting dependable and experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ongoing or adhoc work with our client based in Appleton.
Role Overview:
- Tramping – Monday to Friday
- Day or Night shifts available – Non tramping
- Curtainside general haulage
- Nationwide deliveries and collections
- Overnight stays in vehicle throughout the week (Optional)
- Higher rates paid on weekends and bank holidays
Rates- Weekly pay
Mon -Fri days £16-£20ph
Mon -Fri Nights £17-£21ph
Saturday £20ph – £23ph
Sunday £20-£25ph
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive long-distance Class 1 (C+E) routes across the UK
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure timely and safe deliveries to multiple destinations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicate clearly with the transport office
- Comply with driver regulations, WTD and tachograph rules
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tacho card
- Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 experience preferred
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN convictions)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with overnight tramping
